Gordon Emory Headlee Jr.

SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO

Gordon Headlee Jr. lost his battle with cancer on June 16, 2023. His love of nature and the mountains of the Southwest led him from his birthplace of Odessa, Texas in 1953 to own and build residences in the Hill Country of Texas to Colorado and eventually to New Mexico where he spent the last 30 years of his life. He was a prolific photographer capturing scenes of nature while hiking, always with a dog by his side. His vast and unique musical talent was shared throughout his life with guitar and original songs at various venues. He was preceded in death by his father Gordon Headlee, Sr. and brother, David Headlee. He is survived by his mother and sister, Joan Headlee and Claudia Thomas, respectively. He will be greatly missed by his nephew and niece, Jacob Thomas and Leah Thomas Michaels.
